A surprising fact is that a group of 10,000 termites are able to chow through a foot of a piece of wood that is a 2×4 within a period of a couple months. You really do not want to find out how long it would take to devour your entire home so it is best to take care of the issue before it gets any worse. You want to inspect your home on a regular basis for any signs of termites and at the very first sign, call an exterminator immediately.
